What is a Diaper Cake?

A Diaper Cake is not meant to be eaten but it still makes a sweet gift. A diaper cake is a creatively and uniquely hand-crafted gift that looks like a cake.

It is made with any of the following:

  • diapers or training pants (you can choose brand)
  • clothing
  • blankets
  • hooded towels
  • washcloths
  • bibs
  • bottles or sippy cups
  • baby lotion or body wash

and may include other "must-haves" for mom and child. I can also add Sock Roses and/or Washcloth lollipops to add that special touch. An example of this is the Pink Teddy Bear Cake found in the Gallery Page.

Diaper Cakes and Big Kid Cakes

Most of my 'cakes' are made with the bigger kids in mind. Diapers are not just for newborns and baby showers. They can make a great birthday gift for the one or two year old who still wears diapers or for the potty trainee. Most of my cakes are designed for 1 to 3 year olds, using size 4 diapers or size 2T-3T pull ups, with characters and themes that children love.

Why a Diaper Cake?
An ordinary gift is wrapped with expensive wrapping paper and topped with a bow. Give an extraordinary gift, for about the same price that you would spend, that looks like a cake but has hidden surpises inside.
Or buy for your own child and make a memorable centerpiece for your child's party.

All cakes are wrapped with cellophane or clear gift bag and are carefully packaged to be shipped. Diaper cakes are wrapped with tissue paper and festoons so your little one can have fun opening it like a present.
